Create a card
Open Virtual cards. The first card for this account has no creation fee; each later card costs $2. Freezing or emptying a card does not renew the free allowance. Cards created from SMS.Red ID use the same allowance.
Enter the amount to take from your wallet. Funding is $1.06–$1,000 per request. The 6% funding fee is deducted from that amount, rounded to cents. A $50 funding request adds $47 to the card. A later card also costs $2 to create, making the full wallet debit $52. Review the server quote before confirming.
Transaction and decline fees
Each transaction costs $0.65 and each decline costs $1, charged from the same SMS.Red wallet. Card checks and merchant retries can incur fees, including on frozen cards. A fee-bearing pending authorization can appear before settlement. If that same event later declines, the fee increases to $1 in total.
Usage fees may arrive later and leave a negative wallet balance. That is an amount due in your existing wallet, not a separate card wallet. Add funds or return available card funds to cover it. Merchant acceptance varies; a card is not guaranteed to work at every service.
View details, freeze and return funds
Show card details reveals the card number, expiry, CVV and cardholder. Details hide after 30 seconds, when the page loses focus or when you leave it. Keep them private.
Freezing preserves the card balance. It does not cancel a subscription or prevent decline fees. Reactivate before adding or returning funds. Return funds moves available USD back to your existing wallet without another fee. Pending holds cannot be returned; the original funding fee is retained.
If a request is taking time
Refresh Recent activity and the existing card. Do not start another purchase to resolve an uncertain result. Reserved funds remain held until the issuer outcome is confirmed. An explicit refusal returns the full reserved wallet debit, including any creation fee.
Transactions shows merchant activity and usage fees; Recent activity shows your card funding and control requests. Contact Support with the operation identifier for an unresolved request. Never send a full card number or CVV in a ticket.
