Facebook SMS verification with a virtual number

Facebook (and other Meta apps) send an SMS when you add a phone or approve a login. Buy a Facebook number on SMS.Red, enter it in the phone field, and read the code in Messages.
- Open Verifications or New rental and select Facebook.
- Choose a country. United States first.
- Purchase the number and paste it into Facebook.
- Request the code and copy it from SMS.Red.
If you turn on SMS login alerts, rent the number. An OTP will not be there for the next challenge. SMS.Red is for receiving codes you requested on an account you control — not for breaking into someone else’s profile.
FAQ
Does this work for Instagram too?
Instagram is a separate Meta check. If Instagram is in the catalog, buy that service. Do not assume a Facebook OTP will see Instagram traffic.
