# Forward incoming SMS to Telegram

Connect the SMS bot, pause forwarding or disconnect without confusing it with Telegram sign-in.

## Connect the forwarding bot

In Settings, find Telegram SMS forwarding. Check availability and choose Connect. Open the generated bot link and start the bot with the intended Telegram account. Keep the settings page open while it checks connection. An expired link needs a new Connect attempt.

Telegram login and SMS forwarding are separate. Being signed in through Telegram does not by itself enable message delivery.

Opening @SMS_dot_RED_bot directly and using /start or /help shows product and connection instructions; it does not link an SMS.Red account. To receive SMS, use the expiring Connect link from Settings. In the bot, /stop turns off forwarding and revokes pending connection links; reconnect from Settings to resume.

## Pause or disconnect

After connection, review the enabled state. Turn forwarding off to pause future messages while keeping the connection. Turn it on to resume. Disconnect removes the integration; reconnect when you want a new link.

If status cannot load, use Retry. If the connection is missing or the link expired, reconnect rather than repeatedly opening an old link. Incoming messages remain available in the site's message views even when forwarding is paused.

## Check the current owner

Forwarding is for the current owner's incoming order messages. After a number transfer, the previous owner's connection does not grant continuing delivery. The new owner should configure their own forwarding.

Check the site for the authoritative message and timestamp if Telegram delivery is delayed or duplicated. Keep forwarded SMS private; they can contain sensitive codes.
