# Read rental SMS and its history

Find the latest relevant message and use the correct copy control.

## Request the SMS in the external service

Select an active rental and copy its phone number. Enter it in the service where you need verification and request the SMS there. Return to Workspace to read received messages. SMS.Red's copy controls do not send a new request to that service.

Check number, service and expiry if messages remain empty. A third-party refusal is different from an accepted request with a delayed SMS.

## Choose the right message and copy action

Workspace shows timestamps and newest messages first. Read the body and match it to the current request. Some messages confirm changes without a code. Copy code copies a detected code; Copy full SMS copies the entire message; Copy number copies the telephone.

Older codes can belong to a previous request. A message arriving successfully can make cancellation unavailable even before the code is used.

## Understand what History contains

History opens a message timeline and available older SMS. It is not a full audit log of record edits, transfers or renewal decisions. Allow older pages to load when browsing.

Use Inbox for a broader message view, or Workspace for messages beside the number's account records. For unresolved delivery, include the order, request time and error in Support without exposing passwords.
